Although we are both looking forward to going on another road trip, we leave Puy Jouard with some strange sadness.
The reason for this, subsequent analysis with the considerable help of local Italian wine reveals, is the garden. We’ve been doing a lot of work planting and digging. The spell of hot weather has brought on the plants and trees. Many are about to burst into glorious leaf or colour. We realised that, being away for a few weeks, we may well miss some of the best shows. certainly the cherry tree will be over when we get back. As will the Wisteria.
Life’s full of difficult choices!!
A smooth ride south brings us to our first night’s stop, just short of Chambery at Les Arbets, the aptly named Le Coin Tranquille.
Not a lot to say about it really. Except it was peaceful but it wasn’t on a corner.
