This is a splendid 10 mile walk from Singleton, across the Downs to Heyshott and back. There are plenty of slopes to be tackled, a couple of them extremely steep. This walk is not for the unfit. We walked the route in January – following a period of heavy rain. The bottom section, which follows

Ok I said – this is a walk we must do. It’s been recommended by Mick – so it’s gotta be good- So we drove to the starting point. And so did several thousand Spanish people looking to enjoy a gloriously sunny "bank" holiday. The walk through the gorge is amazing, it’s everything that it’s

Raymond, the Jolly Farmer, invited us to go to an annual lunch which is held in the village hall in St, Pardeaux. We went along with our neighbours plus Ken and Lynne from Chateau Ponsac. We had great time, food was excellent and locals made us feel very welcome. (Un)fortunately we didn’t win the tombola

Great walk! Can`t recommend it enough. Has to be worth 9/10 on the Deacy satisfaction scale. See the map here. Unfortunately – there are no pix (apart from this one) as the AA`s on the digi expired and I hadn`t done the boy scout thing. Pity really – there were some excellent views on the
